Flexible M-F shifts 7am – 3pm, 3pm – 11pm, and 7am – 7pm
Weekend coverage includes 12-hour and 24-hour shifts
2 – 5 cases per day
General surgery focus — 70% of caseload
90% adult patients, 10% healthy pediatric cases
Beeper call coverage required for nights and weekends
Orientation period on day shifts before night coverage begins
Ongoing coverage needed 1 – 4 weeks per month
