Mon – Fri, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm — one week per month
Weekend call — Fri 4:30 pm – Mon 7:30 am, once per month
Call ratio: 1:4 — beeper call, 15 – 30 min response time
10 – 15 patients per shift
Inpatient gastroenterology coverage
Upper GI endoscopy, cautery, variceal injection, and PEG required
ERCP not required
