    A North Island, New Zealand hospital is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated general adult psychiatrist to join their multi-disciplinary team and have community and inpatient responsibilities.

We have a flexible structure whereby the role will commence in the inpatient unit and rotate to community over time.  
    
    We are embedding our new model of care; pathways that lead us to act with kindness. This new model is the product of extensive co-design with over 400 participants from our community, a model that clearly articulates what works for people in their recovery and healing journey.  
    
    The service provides specialist mental healthcare for service users in the District Area (a population size of approximately 116,000). This includes a 14-bed inpatient unit, an acute response team, adult community team, older adult service, child and adolescent service, and consult liaison within the main hospital. Their mental health and addiction services has a high proportion of Maori whaiora/services users and whanau/family. A commitment to biculturalism, the principles of the treaty of Waitangi, to equity and to wellness and recovery is important. 
    
    This role will involve providing specialist psychiatric care and clinical leadership, to our district adult whaiora/service users as a member of a multidisciplinary team. This may include working across different areas of the adult services, such as community, inpatient and acute response team. The work will involve both urgent and planned assessments, as well as planning and delivering collaborative care and treatment to whaiora/service users, in the context of their family/whanau.
