Work with experts
in medical missions.
We're here to simplify the process of finding and going on a medical mission trip—whether it's helping you find a mission, connecting you with funding, or inviting you to join one of our sponsored trips.
How we empower your medical missions.
Our Making a Difference Foundation helps you find the right mission, provides you with funds, or includes you on one of our own sponsored trips. Here are the highlights of how we create new medical mission trip opportunities for you:
Assistance finding medical missions: It’s sometimes hard to find the best options, so the medical mission opportunities page features trips from nonprofit partners that we’ve already vetted for you. You can also contact our team directly, and we’ll send you recommendations of trusted partners.
Travel on a Weatherby medical mission: Each year, we invite six providers to join us on a medical mission trip to places like Cambodia. If you want to be considered for a medical mission, talk to your consultant.
Supporting global health: Every year, the Making a Difference Foundation proudly supports 6 – 8 medical mission trips in partnership with various nonprofit organizations. One is an adventurous trip to Panama with Floating Doctors, where the team travels by boat to different islands to provide care. Others include trips to Africa and southern Asia with Partners for World Health to address urgent medical needs in those areas. Interested in these trips? Get notified here!
Grant program: We understand that not every provider can join us on the medical mission trips we’re supporting, so our foundation offers grants of up to $2,000 to assist with international or domestic medical mission trips. If financial constraints are the only thing preventing you from participating in a mission, we may be able to help.

The Making a Difference Foundation sponsors two medical mission trips each year:
Spring Trip to Panama: We partner with Floating Doctors for an adventurous journey, where our team travels by boat to various islands daily to provide medical care.
October Trip to Cusco, Peru: Open to 10 medical providers, this trip involves setting up clinics in the city and surrounding mountain villages over five days, culminating in a visit to the iconic Machu Picchu.

Each year, the Making a Difference Foundation offers grants to healthcare providers dedicated to delivering care on medical missions, whether internationally or domestically. We understand that not all providers can join our sponsored missions, so we aim to ease the financial burden for those who have secured their own mission opportunities. If financial constraints are the only barrier to participating in a mission, we want to help. Apply for a grant on the Making a Difference Foundation website.
Our trip interest group receives first access to new trips and opportunities. We work closely with our nonprofit partners, and when they need participants for specific trips, we promptly share the details with the group. Joining this interest group is an excellent way to explore available trips and connect with reputable nonprofit organizations.
