We’re excited to announce the winner of the 2017 Locum Tenens of the Year award.
Each year, approximately 40,000 locum tenens physicians provide healthcare to millions of patients across the country, often in rural and underserved communities that have a difficult time staffing full-time physicians.
By hiring locum tenens, healthcare facilities ensure patients have access to much needed care.
“We created this award to recognize physicians whose work often goes unnoticed because of the temporary nature of their assignments,” says Weatherby Healthcare president Bill Heller. “These award winners exemplify the best characteristics of locum tenens – quality, compassion, and caring.”
Physicians were nominated for the award by the Weatherby Healthcare consultants who work directly with doctors throughout their locum tenens assignments. Award winners were chosen by the company’s executive team based on the physician’s passion for locum tenens, the quality of care they provide, and the service they offer in the community, either personally or professionally.
