Description
You will provide clinical services that include outpatient and inpatient management of people requiring specialist urology care, as well as giving phone advice to GPs and other medical colleagues. The week will consist of consultations at outpatient clinics (first assessments and follow-ups) and procedures (cystoscopy, prostate biopsy, urodynamics), as well as arranging investigations and planning treatment. Non-contact assessments and advice will also be required as you decide. All general urology and pediatric operations are offered, depending on surgeon's skill mix. Presently no laparoscopic work, except occ. undescended testicle, but all equipment is available if trained. The North Island of New Zealand is known for its volcanic activity, national parks, and cosmopolitan cities. Surrounded by bays and islands, it’s known as “the City of Sails.” At its southern tips is harbourside capital Wellington, home to the national museum, Te Papa.
