Looking for something different? Practice within a U.S. medical system on an exotic island paradise within Asia. Join our visionary team as we create a new standard of cancer care in Micronesia. Young 125-bed hospital that was started 7 years ago to meet the unique challenges and fill the tremendous need of delivering high quality specialty care within our remote island home. This cancer center provides medical oncology, radiation oncology, and infusion services so that our patients no longer need to leave their families or gather the resources to travel off island for modern cancer treatment. We are looking for an enthusiastic hematology-oncologist to join our growing practice. You would see patients and direct treatment programs within our hospital-based outpatient clinic, Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. You would work with a team of experienced infusion nurses and medical assistants, as well as our oncology certified nurse practitioner overseeing our infusion center. You would also actively collaborate with our cancer center director to develop and build the future vision of our program. We have an active multidisciplinary tumor board each week with participation from staff and community physicians as well. Our hospital is deeply passionate about serving this important community need, and we also love our beautiful island lifestyle. Our region of Micronesia is home to world class diving, fishing/boating, paddleboarding, surfing, and kiteboarding. We are a diverse community of active hikers, bikers, crossfitters, history buffs, farmers, tennis and badminton players, and we even have one of the world’s busiest remaining K-Marts. Nonstop flights make for quick trips to the world class destinations of Manila, Hong Kong, Honolulu, and several cities in Japan and Korea.
