2018 Locum Tenens Physicians of the Year Announced

Weatherby Healthcare honors EM, Psychiatrist, and Pulmonolgist

Locum Tenens physicians play an important role in the world of healthcare. Every year, they help thousands of healthcare facilities accommodate increased demand, cover vacations or open positions, and fill gaps in care. Locums doctors are especially important to rural and underserved communities that have trouble filling vacant positions or fully staffing their facilities.

Each year, Weatherby Healthcare honors locum tenens physicians who have demonstrated excellence in their field and as a locum tenens provider with the Locum Tenens of the Year award.

Nominations for the annual award come from Weatherby Healthcare consultants who work directly with the physicians on a daily basis. The winners are selected by the company’s executive team based on the following characteristics:

  • Their passion for locum tenens
  • The quality of care they provide
  • Their service to the community both professionally and personally

2018 Locum Tenens of the Year Award Winners

We are pleased to announce the following as Weatherby Healthcare’s locum tenens of the year:

Dr. Srinivas Bhadriraju

Dr. Srinivas Bhadriraju, Pulmonology/Critical Care

Dr. Bhadriraju began working as a locums with Weatherby Healthcare in 2012. Over his career, he has received the highest compliments from both patients and the facilities where he has served. Dr. Bradley Hassell

Dr. J. Bradley Hassell, Psychiatry

During his career, Dr. Hassell has worked at some of the busiest inpatient psychiatry units in the country. His assignments have ranged from summers in a border-town in Texas to winters in North Dakota. Dr. Jim Mock

Dr. James Mock, Emergency Medicine

Dr. Mock has been a full-time locum tenens emergency medicine physician for nearly ten years and has completed more than 90 assignments. In addition to more traditional jobs, he has worked for NASCAR as a treating physician in the chase trucks at Darlington Raceway and the Chicagoland Speedway.   • 77 percent of physicians are interested in working locum tenens in the future
