A Locum Tenens Company that Cares About its People

We are honored to be awarded No. 4 on Sun Sentinels’ list of 2017 Top Workplaces in South Florida. Based on employee surveys, the Sun Sentinel awards organizations where workers expressed confidence in their leaders, the direction of their businesses, and appreciation for how they are treated by their employers.

Here are just some of the reasons why Weatherby Healthcare is a top workplace:

We believe work should be fun.

Each year, we host Employee Appreciation Week across our entire company, and we pull out all the stops. Just a few of the perks offered during the week are: daily prize giveaways, free massages, and free food and treats. It’s a fun way for the company to thank all of our people for the great work they do and the difference they make to the providers and healthcare facilities we serve.

Making a difference in the community is a key pillar of our business.

Throughout the year, we offer a variety of volunteer events and activities in each office, including our annual Making a Difference Week. In 2016, employees at our Fort Lauderdale office raised nearly $50,000 for the United Way and then the company matched that amount dollar for dollar.

We also provide each employee with eight hours of paid volunteer time off (VTO) each year to donate their time beyond company-sponsored volunteer events. Last year, our employees used more than 6,600 hours of VTO to give back to the community.

Our people also go above and beyond to take care of each other. To support their efforts, we have an Employee Compassion Fund, which provides need-based grants to employees facing financial hardships.

Employees can be themselves.

In addition to our casual dress code, we’ve created an open and respectful atmosphere that encourages diverse ideas and thinking. Employees feel comfortable being themselves and respect the opinions of their coworkers.

We believe in developing the whole person.

From new employees to company veterans, our award-winning training programs offer a wide-range of learning and development opportunities to help employees remain competitive in their roles and enhance their personal growth.

We encourage work/life balance.

We understand the importance of our people finding a healthy balance between their careers and home lives. To help make it easier for them to find an optimal balance between work and personal responsibilities, we offer a variety of unique benefits, including flexible schedules and an onsite health clinic where employees and their families can receive free healthcare.
